Stoneware Report Services

Secure Reporting

Once a report is created the job is not finished. Many organizations struggle to find ways in which they can secure and distribute the reports they create. Often distributing reports to their employees, customers, and partners requires the purchase of third-party security products. With Stoneware's Report Services organizations can easily secure and distribute any report based on a user's identity. Report Services provides organizations with the peace of mind that all critical business information is encrypted and delivered only to the user(s) that need to see it.

  • All databases are protected by Stoneware's two-tier Server/Relay architecture
  • Users required to authenticate with network user ID and password
  • All communications between user and system are encrypted over SSL (Secure Socket Layer)
  • Reports can be assigned to network users, groups, or organizations
  • Users authenticated to Report Services will only see the reports that have been assigned to their organizational role
  • Report Services supports two-factor authentication such as tokens, USB Keys, and Biopassword authentication
  • Report Services supports Single Sign-on and "Hidden SSO" to backend database

Represented by the diagram below, Report Services leverages Stoneware's two-tier Server/Relay architecture to ensure that a organization's critical business information is fully protected. The Stoneware Relay acts as a security gateway to the Stoneware Server. The Stoneware Server which sits on the internal network is responsible for communicating to all internal databases and the directory service. This unique architecture creates a "dual DMZ" and guarantees that external users will never communicate with a server that as physical access to a database.
