The diagram below shows how the Stoneware Server/Relay architecture inserts directory service identity into the record-level information being retrieved from any standard ODBC/JDBC database. When users access information, Report Services will insert indentity-driven information (login name, passwords, PINs, employee number, etc) into the SQL statement before it is sent to the database server. The results that are returned from the database are unique to authenticated user and delivered securely over a encrypted connection. The integration of directory services and Report Services guarantees that a user only sees the information that was meant for them.
