BioPassword Multi-Factor Integration with Stoneware webNetwork

Stoneware, Inc. enables the integration of BioPassword technology to strengthen the webNetwork authentication process and provide a new form of multi-factor authentication. When enabled, webNetwork user credentials will be validated against the directory service and their “unique typing rhythm” is verified with the BioPassword server. If both factors prove to be valid, the user is allowed to access all webNetwork resources, applications, files, documents, reports, published applications, etc. BioPassword features incorporated by webNetwork include:

  • Enable BioPassword multi-factor authentication via Login Policy
  • Configure end-user training options on a user, group, or container level
  • Integrates with Microsoft Active Directory™, Novell eDirectory™, OpenLDAP, and ApacheDS
  • Leverages webNetwork's Password Self Service
  • Integrated login page and authentication services

Architecture

Stoneware’s implementation of BioPassword leverages the two-tier webNetwork Server/Relay architecture to secure the BioPassword server inside the internal network. Access to the BioPassword server and process will not be available from any device outside the corporate DMZ therefore further protecting the authentication process and the system.

Free Backup Utility for 'Hot' Backups

HoboCopy is a free, Windows based, command-line backup utility for making 'hot' backups of running applications with open files.

"What is HoboCopy?

HoboCopy is a backup/copy tool. It is inspired by robocopy in both name and in functionality. It differs greatly from robocopy, however, in two respects:

    1. It is not as full-featured as robocopy.
    2. It uses the Volume Shadow Service (VSS) to “snapshot” the disk before copying. It then copies from the snapshot rather than the “live” disk. "
