webNetwork: Private Cloud Technology
webNetwork is a private cloud computing framework designed to help organizations transition from a client-centric to a centralized web computing environment. Without application development, organizations can easily plug their web, Windows, and hosted applications into the private cloud. Users connecting to the private cloud will be presented with a virtual web desktop that delivers all of their applications, services, documents, and data from anywhere, using any device.
webNetwork is for organizations that are moving to a private cloud computing model where applications and services are increasingly web-based. These organizations see a move to web technologies as strategic in order to simplify management, scale, and reduce costs associated with the end device.

Questions You Might Be Asking
What is the difference between "Cloud" computing and "Private Cloud" computing?
Cloud computing is centered around the concept that both applications and data will be hosted online by a third party. The concept of a "Private Cloud" is where the cloud service is hosted on your severs, inside your network, managed by your IT staff. The customer is in complete control of where applications, content, documents, data, and services reside within the system.
Does webNetwork Require Development
Absolutely not. Integration of applications, databases, file systems, etc. is performed through the webAdmin management interface and requires no application development of any type.
Is webOS a virtual Windows Desktop?
No. webOS is the virtual web desktop delivered into end user's browser when connecting to the private webNetwork cloud. It is built on Web 2.0 technologies and does not require the remote display of a Windows virtual machine. Because webOS is a web-based technology, a webNetwork private cloud can scale to over a thousand concurrent users on a single server.
What Types of Applications Can Plug into the Private Cloud?
Most all web applications can be easily integrated into the private cloud. webNetwork will also deliver many of the Microsoft Windows applications through publishing or streaming technologies. All integration of applications into webNetwork's private cloud framework happen without any development.
How is webNetwork similar to something I know?
End-users will be presented a familiar looking desktop through a web browser to access their applications, documents, and more. This desktop remains consistent regardless if they are inside or outside the network - on a Mac, Linux, or Windows device.
How is This Different from VDI or Citrix?
Microsoft, Citrix, and VMWare are solely focused on the delivery of Windows desktops and Windows applications. While Windows applications are important and available through Stoneware's virtual web desktop, webOS, Stoneware's focus is to enable an organization's move to "private" cloud computing where web and hosted web applications are becoming the predominant number of enterprise applications and delivery does not require a Windows desktop.
