Plug Into the Private Cloud

Most of an organization's existing applications and services can be easily plugged into the webNetwork private cloud framework. webNetwork supports the integration of web applications, Windows streaming, Terminal Services, Citrix Services, hosted web applications, file systems, databases, telnet, 3270/5250, VDI pooling, and desktop publishing. The information below provides more detail regarding the integration of these technologies into the private cloud:

Web Applications - Integrates and delivers corporate web applications into the portal or webOS desktop interface. Natively communicates with corporate web applications and web services such as Sharepoint, IIS, Netscape, Apache, etc. Reduces the licensing cost and hassle of running web applications through Terminal and Citrix servers. Eliminates the need to deploy "end point clients" on external workstations and desktops. Move your critical web applications out of the DMZ and back into the trusted corporate network where they belong.

Databases The Universal Connection Broker can access any corporate database for the purpose of retrieving and disseminating mission critical information. Connects to any ODBC/JDBC database. Supports Microsoft SQL, MySQL, DB2, Oracle, MS Access, Postgres, Informix, and others. Reports integrate directly into the portal or webOS desktop interface. Build, secure, and distribute reports to users.

File Systems Complete network file system access to shared, public, and home directories. Access Linux, NetWare, Windows, FTP, SFTP, FTPS, and Zip file systems. Complete file system functionality through an AJAX interface. Integrated webDav client support. Single sign-on support to all network file systems.

Web Portals - Securely aggregate the growing number of web portals found within the organization. Provide users with consolidated access to the growing numbers of web portals deployed in the corporate computing environment. Delivers secure accss to portal framework platforms such as BEA, Microsoft Sharepoint, IBM Websphere, ATG, exteNd, WSE, etc. Consolidate access to application portals such as Novell's GroupWise WebAccess, Microsoft's OWA, Lotus' iNotes, etc Move your critical business portals out of the DMZ and back into the trusted corporate network where they belong.

Microsoft Terminal Server - Publish Windows applications into the portal or webOS desktop by leveraging Microsoft's Terminal Server. The Universal Connection Broker allows administrators to create Terminal Server "Farms". Publish applications from the Microsoft Terminal Servers into the portal or webOS desktop. Provide single sign-on for both Terminal Server and published applications. Delivers complete load balancing and fail-over for Microsoft Terminal Servers

Citrix Metaframe - Publish Citrix applications into the portal or webOS desktop by leveraging Citrix's Metaframe. The Universal Connection Broker allows administrators to create Citrix Server "Farms". Published application from the Citrix Server into the portal or webOS desktop. Provide single sign-on for both the Citrix Server and published applications. Delivers complete load balancing and fail-over for Citrix Servers. Configure the Universal Connection Manager to act as a Citrix "Secure Gateway".

SSL VPN - Java-based SSL VPN client allows users to run client/server applications located inside the corporate network. Java client that supports Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, and other operating systems. Tunnels client/server communications through 128bit SSL. Capable of launching local and web applications. Users do not become an end-node on the internal network.

Personal Desktop - The Universal Connection Broker provides remote users with access to their corporate desktop from anywhere. Eliminates the need for GotomyPC and the potential security risks. Assigns a user's desktop to their network identity to provide security and access control. Supports desktop single sign-on and printer/disk/audio redirection. Stoneware's "Pipeline" technology eliminates need to open "holes" for desktops in the internal or external firewall.

VDI Integration - Universal Connection Broker provides users with access to their Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDI). Pooling of Virtual Desktop allows webNetwork users to access a virtual desktop from a "pool" of available virtual machines Direct Virtual Desktop assignments based on a user's network identity Supports any Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VMWare, Virtual PC, etc) Single Sign-on to Virtual Desktops
